Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing fresh setbacks to be silent on Sussex day as the call to be deprived of their titles is gaining momentum.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex only visited Sussex in 2018 and has not returned since then despite Sussex Day being celebrated on June 16.
Harry and Meghan, who now live in California, have shown a little connection to the place they are named after keeping the Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles since their wedding in 2018.
In a conversation with Daily Mail, Former Sussex -MP Tim Loughton criticized the couple for using their royal title and not wanted the residents of Sussex on July 16.
“Once again, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the county from which they continue to use their title has been on the verge of saying it mildly,” he said.
“It’s time we had a duke of Sussex who has a genuine interest in our county and wants Sussex residents a happy Sussex day is hardly a high order.
“They rarely visited Sussex, even before they gave up Britain for California, and on our county day today they have again shown no interest in Sussex.”
