Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come under fire for what some on the internet called a “photo op” when they visited the victims of the LA fires.
But an unnamed friend of the royal couple called out the critics and told page six, “It is offensive to Meghan and Harry that anyone would think this is just a photo opportunity.”
On the other hand, Victor Gordo, mayor of Pasadena, where the couple visited, also said they were “great people” with “great personalities.”
“They really gave the spirit of the first responders. We visited the command post at the Rose Bowl and people were very happy to see them,” he said.
In addition to this controversy, Harry and Meghan faced another after a piece in Vanity Fair claimed that the latter team was having a “conversation” with a publisher about a potential “post-divorce” book.
According to a source, the alleged meeting was set up to see if the publisher would “theoretically be interested,” if — despite no truth to the divorce rumors — a source close to the couple dismissed the meeting, calling it “concerning.”
