Prince Harry has made a surprising revelation of what he was forbidden to do as a royal.
The Duke of Sussex, who stepped down from his royal tasks in 2020 with wife, Meghan Markle, gave a speech at the Los Angeles summit.
On Thursday, Harry went to the stage and explained how his life has changed since moving to the United States.
“I’m not someone who should be caught in the gap between left or right views, not the corner of a belief in blue or red. Hell, I’ve never even been allowed to vote,” Harry said pr. Hello! Magazine.
The youngest son of King Charles added, “from my institutional role that traveled around the world, to my decade of duties in the military – I saw the power of serving others from the first hand.”
It is worth mentioning that despite there is no law that prevents members of the royal family from voting, it has long been a tradition for them to remain politically neutral.
During his speech, Harry also said of his life in Britain and in the United States now, “The way I answer the question of how we invest in our common future is different now to live in the US until I lived in England. Why? Because before I moved, so much of my life turned around charity.”
“Since then, while my charities remain a core part of the work of my life, I have also focused on upstream solutions and prevention, driven by decisions and investments that address problems before demanding correction. I’ve still approached everything in my life through the service lens,” added Prince Harry.
