A royal expert has pointed out how Prince Harry’s role has shrunk from being at the forefront while working as a senior royal to keep his wife Meghan Markle’s phone.
Royal Expert Daniela Elser wrote how the Duke of Sussex seems to hold a low profile in 2025, with only a handful of public appearances so far.
She noticed how Harry led 200 royal engagements in 2019 to almost 17 days of activity this year, including Invictus Games’ performances.
Harry can only be found on his wife’s new Instagram grip, pointed out Elser, referred to his videos dancing with Meghan or enjoying family with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
“So far, 2025 feels like it could be one of the quiet ever with Harry’s public footprint that seems to be on the way,” she wrote.
“Consider: In 2019, his last year of official Royalling, he assumed 201 engagements,” she added. “This year he has made charity excursions in about 17 days as far as it is publicly known and at the time of writing.”
“Back in 2022, the Duke was asked to tackle the UN General Assembly; now he is tasked with holding his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex’s iPhonez,” the expert noted.
Elser continued, ”the 40-year-old may contain many shortcomings, but he seems to be increasingly to stay down low, except for his willingness to still lob an occasional grenade over the palace walls.
“On the whole, the most common place to catch a glimpse of the Duke these days is the Duchess’s Instagram -Feed thanks to her muscular posting regime.
“In recent weeks, we have been treated by seeing Harry’s joy at a Disneyland -jaunt with their children and his unfortunately dangerous dance traits.
“Royal? He may still have his titles, but what are they, but shiny pendants he may have printed on his ranks of unused letter head, but the royal family seems to have as much to do with him as with zero proof gin.”
