Prince William and Princess Kate reflect on their busy everyday life

The future king and queen split up into master key cases

Prince William and Princess Kate had a busy day apart as they fulfilled their respective patron roles.

Thursday, January 15, marked the Prince and Princess of Wales’ first solo engagements of 2026 to support causes close to their hearts. Kate, who just turned 44 last week, hosted a celebratory reception at Windsor Castle, while William, 43, stepped out in the countryside.

As Patron of the Rugby Football Union, the future Queen hosted the Red Roses to celebrate their World Cup victory last year. “A fantastic day hosting Women’s Rugby World Cup winners @redroserugby today in Windsor! Congratulations to you all – what an achievement!” read a statement on the official social media account of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The accompanying pictures showed Kate stunning in a red tracksuit as she mingled with a team and received a signed shirt as a gift.

While Princess Catherine campaigned for inclusivity and equal opportunities in sport, the future king visited Bridge End Farm in Herefordshire to discuss the importance of rural mental health and fulfilled his role as patron of We Are Farming Minds.

Kensington Palace also shared a short video capturing highlights from the outing, including the Prince of Wales feeding the sheep and getting his hands dirty around the farm.
