Prince William chooses his senior helpers for future role as King: Report

Prince William is expected to rely on his Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie as the most important seniorroyals when he becomes the king, says a report after the five-day royal Ascot ended.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were regular participants at the event as they led royal processions in the five consecutive days during the swelling summer heat.

The king, along with Prince William, stayed for only one day, while his wife Kate Middleton skipped his participation as changes at the last minute to the schedule.

According to The Mirror, it plans to modernize the royal family when he becomes king, including the award of key roles.

The report said he is reportedly uncomfortable with horse racing, a passion for King Charles, Queen Camilla and the late Queen Elizabeth II, and can delegate the Royal Racing Calendar, including Royal Ascot, to Zara Tindall, an Olympic Ride.

Quotes sources the publication reported that William recognizes Ascot’s importance, but prefers a minor practical role compared to previous monarchs.

“As a senior royalty as the Duke of Kent, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Anne is expected to reduce their duties due to age, William is considering non-working royals such as Zara’s husband Mike Tindall, her brother Peter Phillips and the princesses Beatrice and Eugenie for more prominent roles.”
