Prince William will visit Sheffield on Tuesday, July 1st to mark the second anniversary of the Royal Foundation’s Homewards UK program.
According to a report, HRH in the city in the city will implement engagements to highlight the progress made over the past 12 months.
In June 2023, Prince William launched a five-year project trying to end homelessness in Britain and said he was following in the footsteps of his late mother Princess Diana, who had warned him of the crisis when he was a child.
William, 41, the eldest son of King Charles and the heir to the throne, said the “home -sided” scheme would work in six cities and cities and develop new solutions that could be used throughout the country.
According to the Royal Foundation, more than 300,000 people sleep, half of whom are children, either rough or in cars living in temporary accommodation, hostel or with relatives. Well associations have warned that these figures are expected to rise due to the ongoing cost of living.
The program, described as “a massive moment for the prince,” by his spokesman, is William’s most important project since he became Prince of Wales after the death of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth last September.
