Princess Royal visited Sark, an island, part of the Channel Islands in the southwestern English Channel, a statement said on Saturday.
“In Sark, Princess Royal has visited the residents and joined parties to mark the 80th anniversary of the island’s liberation,” the statement added.
It said, “Her Royal Highness heard about their experiences and the military significance of the island during the war.”
“Princess Royal also visited Little Sark and became the first member of the royal family to do so.”
The royal, along with her husband Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, became the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Bailiwick.
On May 6, King Charles and other senior Royals veterans and crow ended to see a magnificent military parade and airpast at the start of four days with memorials marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) day.
Ve Day marks the anniversary of Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender, which came into force on May 8, 1945. It is observed around this date in many countries, including France, the United States and Russia.
