Princess Beatrice puts on a brave face as she breaks cover to support her parents.
The mother-of-two was spotted driving to the Royal Lodge to meet disgraced father Prince Andrew and was visibly seen sporting a “poker” face.
Speaking to The Mirror, body language expert Judi James said: “With what looks like a face without make-up and with her hair scraped up in a casual, rickety bun on top of her head, Beatrice could superficially appear to be signaling some distress here, as if she’s dropped everything to drive to either see and support her mother or to just discuss their current circumstances, or just to discuss both share.
“Given the fact that Andrew is headline news right now, there was presumably a much larger crowd of photographers waiting to snap her when she ‘broke the cover’, but her reaction to this photo looks the opposite. Instead of taking on the body language of excitement, Beatrice seems to have veered off the idea of a serious, solemn and worried expression or a more regal poker face here.”
She added: “Her mouth is wide open and appears to be in a wide, beaming, teeth-baring smile. The smile also appears to be present in her eye expression, with a crescent shape.”
Judi continued: “This choice of facial expression could be a jab at bravado. Grinning wide grins while driving alone and in the current circumstances, with all the possibly unwanted attention, would generally suggest a desire to put on a deliberately projected air of resilience and the rather exaggerated, exaggerated nature of this smile may confirm this thought.”
