Princess Beatrice talks about her daughter’s health concerns in the midst of uncertainty behind her birth.
In an honest confession to the British Vogue, Beatrice touches at the time she learned her second daughter, Athena, could be born prematurely.
In an honest essay, she wrote for the British Vogue: “There is so little control. Will she arrive healthy? Will there be complications?”
Beatrice wrote: “Maybe it has to do with getting a little older, and hopefully a little wiser or maybe it has something to do with my mother’s breast and skin cancer diagnosis last year, but to me, nothing feels more important than facilitating the necessary research into the health challenges that women are facing daily.”
This comes as Beatrice spoke to end premature births when patronized by Wonderland Gala in London.
When she talked about the role, she said: “The work that it is done is something that is incredibly close and personal to me after the recent birth of my daughter. Every year in the UK, 60,000 babies are delivered prematurely with little information or research on why this is. Therefore, I really look forward to supporting Borne and its program with groundbreaking research.”
