Princess Eugenie gives a voice to false fashion and its human exploitation

Princess Eugenie Champions against False Mode and its Dangers

Princess Eugenie has just approached her social media account to advocate the fight against false fashion because of the dangers it constitutes for possible human exploitation.

It was all done as part of a repost made by the Duchess, in collaboration with Anti Slavery Collective.

The post contained an informative video showing the differences between a real and false handbag, warning that “it is not just a good offer, it is a hidden world of exploitation, pollution and organized crime.”

The video also included a caption with more information, and it reads: “Did you know that false fashion is a thriving industry worth hundreds of billions that drive a hidden web of exploitation and damage to people and planet? From forced labor and children’s exploitation to human trafficking, fake fashion – the kind you can buy online, on the street or on vacation – is obscurity with harm.”

“This week we hosted an event in NYC with fashion insiders, experts in behavioral changes, brands and specialists to shine a light on this overlooked human rights scandal. Our campaign, hidden threads: false fashion – a human rights scandal, calling on governments to collect and share data on illegal trade and confecting and implement and hand -enforcement.”

“We also encourage everyone to consider buying a fake handbag, football jersey or teachers is worth the cost of people around the world being exploited. Share this video to help us create awareness of how false fashion is linked to forced labor and human exploitation.”
