Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing criticism for releasing a new photo of their daughter, Princess Lilibet, to mark her fourth birthday.
Royal critics accuse the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex of accusing them of going against their own attitude towards their children, Prince Archie and Lilibet’s privacy.
On Lilibet’s fourth birthday, Meghan went to Instagram to drop black and white pictures of Lilibet held by Meghan and Harry.
In the new post, Little Lilibet’s face is only slightly visible as a small child, while her baby pictures appear fully.
In a talk about the case, the royal commentator Angela Levin pointed out that the couple had previously said they would keep their children out of the limelight.
She has written on X (formerly Twitter), “they wanted privacy and to keep their children out of focus.”
“And would certainly not show their daughter’s face just a little hidden from her mother’s hair,” she added.
“It’s up to them or just her, but they’ve broken their own rules.”
Meanwhile, Meghan also caused a mood online as she shared a dancing video of herself and Prince Harry while she was strongly pregnant with Lilibet just before her birth.
While the comments on the post are disabled, the video was shared by other media publications and fans.
On one of the posts wrote a critic, “is this the privacy they asked for?” With another added “What fall from grace for Harry.”
“They try so hard to be relatable, and it all seems so false,” a third comment with someone who adds, “creeps for any royal.”
However, some fans of Meghan and Harry came to their defense and expressed their love for the couple.
“I love both of them for their ability to be real. I just don’t understand why people don’t like them. Diana would be so proud of both of them too,” one wrote.
