Peshawar:
Initial investigations of the crash of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government MI-17 helicopter in the Mohmand district have revealed that the plane went down due to dense fog and bad weather conditions in Pindiali Tehsil, officials confirmed on Saturday.
A special federal investigative team visited the remote, mountainous crash site, which is at an altitude of 7,500 to 8,000 feet, as part of the efforts to determine the cause of the disaster.
According to Express News, the Air Safety Investigation Board team traveled three hours to reach the place and used drone cameras in an attempt to recover the helicopter’s black box and other key certificates.
