The word war between governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori and Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab continues as the latter made a statement that questions the city face not only solved through movements such as ‘Iftar and Sehri’, but only through consistent and practical work.

In a speech with the media, Wahab, who belonged to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), emphasized the importance of taking concrete steps instead of participating in propaganda.

Wahab said PPP is obliged to tackle the public’s problems regardless of political affiliation.

He also took a moment to offer prayers for protection against those he referred to as “opponents” and expressed hope that the Holy Month Ramadan would bring blessings to the city and its people.

Further defense of PPP’s approach praised the Wahab governor of Sindh and described him as both a close friend and a charity in the city.

He revealed that, following the governor’s proposal, he had recently written a letter to the federal government requesting funding in support of development efforts in Karachi.

In particular, Wahab repeated his request to release RS100 billion, an amount he claimed he has been applying for the past eight days.

He urged federal government officials, including Governor Kamran Tessori, to ensure that these funds are made available, and reiterates that, if received, he would ensure full accountability and transparency in their use.

Wahab concluded by pointing out that while it is easy to give promises and discuss questions, the actual work is far more challenging.

He highlighted one of the city’s critical needs – the construction of a northern bypass – which he argued is important to solve Karachi’s deteriorating traffic congestion.

SINDH -GUGRAVER REACTS TO KARACHI CANCOMES

Former Sindh -Governor Kamran Khan Tessori had responded to the declaration of Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab and claimed that his focus under Ramadan is totally on earning the public, especially in the times of Sehri and Iftar.

In his remarks, Tessori emphasized that his dedication to community service in the Holy Month Ramadan leaves him without time for anything else, especially until after Sehri.

Sindh -Governor shared that he had the privilege of hosting ITar for Consul’s General of Saudi -Arabia, Iran, Oman, Turkiye, Malaysia, Russia and Bangladesh, and also had the honor of offering ITAR to 10,000 people in the Government House.

He expressed that while serving the public, he also makes spiritual profits and emphasizes that he provides daily gifts such as housing plot, Umrah tickets, motorcycles and phones, in addition to distributing Sehri to different places.

Tessori also responded to critics and advised them to focus on making improvements rather than having jealousy over the love and support he has received from the people.

He pointed out that this Ramadan, he had demonstrated his commitment to all citizens, with people with all backgrounds – about Muhajirs, Sindhis, Punjabis, Baloch or Pashtuns – considered him a brother and a son.

He ended up encouraging others to win hearts through service and emphasized that this is the true goal of success, rather than being envious of popular support.
