Liverpool: Paris Saint-Germain angled Liverpool in a dramatic penalty kick to reach the Champions League quarter-finals after Ousmane Dembele’s early target at Anfield canceled their first leg deficit.

After 1-0 from last week’s first stage in Paris, PSG smooths out a total of thanks to Ousmane Dembele’s early strike at Anfield.

There were plenty of chances, but no additional goals at the end of 90 minutes or extra time, taking tie for a shoot-out.

PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma then performed heroik by saving sanctions from Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones, while all four of the outside were converted by Vitinha, Goncalo Ramos, Dembele and Desire Doy.

The French masters, who have never won the competition, are now moving on to a quarter -final draw next month against neither Aston Villa nor Club Brugge.

Villa hosts the Belgian side on Wednesday and leads 3-1 from the first leg.
