PTI’s legal spokesman Naeem Haider Panjutha strongly condemned the arrest of former AJK Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum Niazi.
“I strongly condemn the arrest of former Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum. We are already fighting for Jammu and Kashmir, but those who are trying to make Azad Kashmir Jammu and Kashmir should drown in shame,” he said.
Niazi served as Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir from August 4, 2021 to April 14, 2022. He gave his resignation before the vote on a non-confidence to him.
A total of 25 dissenting members of the PTI in the AJK-Law Assembly filed the No-Trust movement against Niazi on April 12, 2022.
The proposal was submitted in accordance with Article 18 of AJK’s temporary constitution. The move came shortly after former Prime Minister Imran Khan was removed from the office on April 9, 2022.

AJK -legislative assembly session was called to vote on the proposal. Niazi presented his resignation to PTI Kashmir President Barristor Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and Imran Khan.
It is worth noting that the PTI founder, after a series of failed protests, has again decided to demonstrate street power to campaign for the rule of law and release of prisoner party leaders and workers. However, the party seems to be divided on key political issues, with disagreement votes that are increasingly emerging in the public.
Days prior to his scheduled protest on August 5, Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) faces a widespread crash where party leaders are hiding, workers reporting home attacks and several bank accounts allegedly frozen.
PTI leaders and workers claim that police across Punjab have intensified efforts to suppress the protest by launching a campaign for threats.
Many party workers complain that the police have been knocking on doors since August 1 and forced workers to sign declarations that promised not to participate in the protest.
The raids have led to panic within PTI rows, with several leaders chose to go underground to avoid arrest. Party sources claim that the “Door-Banking” campaign has quickly expanded over the past few days.
In addition to the printing tactics on Earth, several reports of financial restrictions have been imposed on PTI management. The bank account of Hafiz Zeeshan Rasheed, a senior PTI office carrier in Punjab, has allegedly been frozen, one of many such cases, according to the party.
