Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) has decided to jump the fourth round of negotiations with the government, a day after Imran Khan, the party’s founder, instructed the suspension of the negotiations due to the delay in the formation of legal commissions.
The National Assembly’s speeches, Ayaz Sadiq, had scheduled the meeting on January 28 at 1 p.m. 11:45 APPLICAPH OF THE NA SECRETARIA REVIEW. Sadiq was set to be chairman of the negotiations, with PTI members invited to participate. However, the party has chosen to withdraw from the case.
At a press conference held outside the House of Parliament, PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, flanked by senior party members Omar Ayub Khan, Shibli Faraz and Ali Mohammad Khan, explained that although Imran Khan originally approved negotiations despite the ongoing prosecutor Against the party, inaction from the government with regard to the judicial commissions led to the decision to suspend conversations.
Gohar criticized the government’s failure to comply with the agreed time limit for notifying commissions that had passed the previous day. He questioned the government’s commitment and said, “We had simple demands, and yet they failed to trade the legal commission.”
In addition, Gohar expressed frustration over the rapid review of the law in parliament, with eight laws approved in just 11 minutes. He pointed out that 37 bills had been adopted without proper debate, with many rejected by the president.
Compared to this with parliamentary practice in other countries, he called the lack of thorough discussion, especially in contrast to India’s longer parliamentary sessions.
Earlier in the day, Barrister Gohar Ali said that talks have been put into the government of the party’s founder Imran Khan because of the government’s failure to meet the party’s demands.
In a speech with the media, Gohar explained that PTI had made two specific requirements, but no action had been taken to establish legal commissions within the agreed seven-day time frame.
“Imran Khan put the negotiations on wait, but the government could at least announce that the Commission is in the works,” he said while talking to journalists.
Despite several rounds of negotiations, conversations between Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) and the government have made some progress with critical issues, including the formation of legal commissions and the release of PTI prisoners.
The two sides had initially engaged in discussions aimed at facilitating political tensions, with the aim of making a decision on these major concerns. After two rounds of negotiations, a third meeting was held on January 16, when PTI formally made its claims in writing. Despite weeks of dialogue, however, there has been minimal progress in core problems.
PTI has repeatedly called on to form legal commissions to investigate specific events while pressing for the release of party singer.
