Rawalpindi:
The Civil Administration in Rawalpindi charged on Monday Section 144 throughout the district from August 4 to August 10 prior to PTI’s protest, which was scheduled to today, August 5.
According to a review issued by Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema, public gatherings and political collections are prohibited in the garrison city, whose adiala prison is the place where PTI founder IMRAN Khan has been withheld for about 2 years. Under section 144, pillion running on motorcycles and weapons display is prohibited, while speakers cannot be used during this period. To prevent any law and order situation near Adiala Prison, a red alarm has been issued and Adiala Road will be completely sealed with containers.
According to the official review, Punjab Rangers will be deployed around the prison, and Rangers will carry out common patrols with the Rawal Pindi police. The Antiriot police equipped with tear gas and batons will also be stationed on all barricades.
Traffic from Kaceri to Adiala Prison and from Chakri motorway exchange will be redirected to alternative routes. Litigation will be taken against anyone who is trying to remove official blockades.
Meanwhile, prior to the planned protests issued senior PTI leader and former National Assembly, Asad Qaiser speaks a video message that on August 5 there will be protests across the country
“This is not only a protest, but the beginning of a movement. Two years ago, just this day, the fascist government was unfairly arresting Imran Khan, and for the past two years he has been imprisoned for no proper reason.
“We demand justice and merit -based decisions from the judiciary. Unfortunately, after the 26th constitutional amendment, the judiciary has practically become subordinate to the government. It is sad to see the public’s confidence in the courts Moving Day by Day,” he added.
The PTI leader asked what has come out of the many operations performed in merged districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which was previously part of the federally managed tribal areas (FATA).
“These operations have neither brought peace nor ended up unrest. Let it be clear – we do not allow any military operation on our land. We want peace on our country.
“Our demand is simple and clear: Justice for Imran Khan. When justice is denied, the principle of ‘maybe right’ is ruled. An unbelief system can survive, but a system based on oppression can’t,” he added.
According to Qaiser, the country is on its way into tyranny and the current rulers are in power through power. He said people do not want violence, explosions or extortion, but peace, job and education for our children.
“The movement that starts today is not just PTI’s struggle – it’s the struggle for the whole nation, for the rule of law, justice, profits and equal rights for all citizens,” he said.
