Islamabad:
Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf’s (PTI) political committee has heavily condemned Fawad Chaudhry’s physical assault on party leader Shoaib Shaheen outside the Adiala prison and calls it a “unprovoked and shameful act” that reflects a preference for brute force rather than reason and logic .
In a heavily formulated statement, the party called the attack an expression of “primary instincts of reason and logic”.
It also claimed that this was not the first time Fawad had resorted to forcing and threats to run scores, with several similar events linked to his previous behavior.
The statement also accused Fawad of often resorting to violent language of undermining political opponents and calling it a reflection of his usual vulgarity and lack of decor.
It condemned his actions as “criminal” and a “clap on PTI’s face” rather than just an aggression against Shaheen alone.
The committee continued to feel Fawad a “coward, refugee and political traitor” who had “stabbed PTI’s political struggle for constitutional restoration, the rule of law and democracy in the back before sneaking away through the back door”.
The declaration also decided his continued “hypocrisy,” and called it a defining property of his character.
According to the party, Fawad’s outbursts were driven by frustration over PTI’s decision to disconnect all ties with him at the instructions of Partit founder Imran Khan.
Management reiterated that Fawad had no authority to present himself as a PTI representative on some forum.
With serious notice of the incident, PTI’s political committee condemned Chaudhry’s “Hateing behavior in the strongest possible conditions.” The acclaimed Shoaib Shaheen for prioritizing patience and restraint over retaliation and confirmed the party’s unwavering support to him.
