Islamabad:

Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) has denied reports suggesting that it is planning to initiate a trust movement against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the National Assembly’s speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

In an exclusive statement to express news, PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan rejected the reports as baseless.

“We currently have no intention of bringing a non-confidence to anyone, and there have been no instructions from the PTI founder in this regard,” said Gohar.

He added that although the possibility of a non-confidence movement is constitutionally available to political parties, PTI has not considered using it at this time. “All media reports circulating for such a movement are unfounded,” he said.

In response, Ayaz Sadiq said during an informal conversation with journalists that he had heard of the alleged movement planned against him.

“I have heard that there is a trust without confidence against me. He who wants to pursue this desire can move on,” Sadiq said.

He expressed confidence in his position and said that many PTI members themselves would not support such a movement.

“I’ve always looked after everyone as speaking. Even if the movement is presented, their own members will not support it,” he noted.

Sadiq added, “I am happy with my role and the nation is currently enjoying an atmosphere of unity. Our real heroes are the ones who have sacrificed their lives in defense of our country. We greet them.”
