Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Punjab on Monday criticized the provincial government for allegedly awarding a further RS35 billion to the national form of national forms Ayaz Sadiq and called it an unjustified use of public funds in the midst of elaborate financial difficulty across the country. In a statement, the provincial PTI chapter expressed concern about the spending, especially in the light of the recent wage increases for the speaker and other parliamentarians. The party claimed that such fiscal decisions occur to tone deaf at a time when the nation is struggling with inflation, poverty and soaring unemployment. "The extravagans of the elite feel like rubbing salt in human wounds," The statement claimed. It highlighted ongoing government challenges in Punjab, including a deteriorated drainage system, inadequate basic healthcare services in the public sector and the alarming number of children outside the school-strikingly over 10 million in the province.
