Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a strict warning that the government will not allow Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) to ‘interfere with the nation again’ by repeating events like May 9 or November 26.

Asif criticized PTI for his ‘constant politics for protest and chaos, especially when Pakistan’s honor is at stake,’ Express News reported.

At a press conference held in Sialkot, Asif highlighted the upcoming international event, Champions Trophy and condemned PTI to try to create unrest in significant moments for the country.

He pointed out that PTI’s disturbing tactics not only ‘looting Pakistan’s global image, but also undermining national interests.’

“As the country is preparing for major events, such as Champions Trophy, PTI has again resorted to protesting on politics. The party’s actions continue to harm the country’s status on the international scene, ”Asif said.

He also accused PTI of trying to create unrest in crucial moments and referred to the opposition party’s actions during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference.

Asif also condemned PTI’s use of government machines and resources for political events, especially in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that although rallies are part of the political discourse, PTI’s constant efforts to disrupt the peace and stability of the nation, including targeting Islamabad, is stopped.

In the question of current protests, Asif questioned PTI’s claims and said that if most of their demands were met, there was no reason for the protests. He repeated the need for a peaceful and stable environment in favor of Pakistan’s interests.
