PTI leaders collide with police in Adiala

Adiala Road fell into chaos on Tuesday when PTI supporters and leaders locked Horn with police during a planned visit by the family of party -founder Imran Khan in Adiala Prison.

The confrontation quickly spiraled into several scrubs, leaving several wounded and other rounded, with party leaders accusing law enforcement of using a heavy hand.

According to reports, police allegedly handled PTI MNA Khurram Shahzad Virk and injured him, while PTI’s headpic Aamir Dogar was turned up and his clothes were torn under the browse.

Fracas began near Gorakhpur checkpoint where police tried to stop a PTI procession on their way to prison. In an attempt to tread the blockade, leaders pushed Saibzada Hamid Raza and MNA Shahid Khattak allegedly against Cordon and assisted workers breaking through.

Earlier, police had stopped the PTI founder’s three sisters – Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Khan – along with lawyers Salman Safdar, Salman Akram Raja and Niazullah Niazi from continuing beyond checkpoint.

As tension rose, a lot of PTI supporters strolled on stage, songing slogans and rally contradicted. When MNA Shahid Khattak, CMS advises Sohail Afridi and other leaders, the situation escalated into a full confrontation, with intense pushing and pushing between party leaders and police.

Former National Assembly Chairman Asad Qaiser and opposition leader Omar Ayub arrived on the stage as the tensions relieved. Police warned that more arrests would follow if the amount was not spread.

A heated exchange also occurred between Ayub and SP Saddar Nabeel Khokhar.

However, order was finally restored after two of the PTI founders’ sisters, Uzma Khan and Noreen Khan, had a 45-minute meeting with him. Police later stated that all detained workers were released later that night.

After the meeting, party leaders and supporters spread peacefully.

Internal directives

In a speech with the media, Aleema Khan said, “Thank God, at least my two sisters were allowed to meet him today.”

She revealed that the sisters protested against their brother and urged him not to meet anyone who is not on an approved list. They conveyed concern that the recent visitors had distorted his words and that his social media accounts were abused to false to praise vloggers.
