Islamabad:
As a fresh political storm brewery in Punjab, PTI announced on Friday that it will challenge the suspension of 26 of its MPAs from the Punjab assembly through legal channels and public mobilization.
The opposition party decided the speaker’s “constitutional and partisan” behavior and claimed it was no choice but escalating both inside and outside the assembly.
At a joint press conference in Islamabad, PTI General Salman Salman Akram Raja, condemned opposition leader in the Punjab assembly Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar and senior lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa Punjab actions.
The party leaders condemned “theft of mandate” on February 8 when Bhachar accused the political elite of installing a “false minister of chief” while pulling PTI workers out of their homes. “A worthless government that couldn’t even use its earlier budget … If we have offended the dignity of a so -called ‘other queen’, then we will continue to do so.”
Bhachar promised that if the party was thrown out of the assembly, it would simply create a “real assembly” on the streets. “We don’t care about seats, but the story will remember you.”
When he spoke on the occasion, Sardar Latif Khosa threw the government for repeatedly violating the constitution, especially with the 26th change followed by the suspension of 26 MPAs. He complained about the erosion of human rights: “They will bring fascism to KP; this hurts democracy.”
“The constitutional bench judgment on reserved seats was shameful, the Electoral Commission even more.” He defended the rights of prisoner leaders and workers to meet Imran Khan and criticized passivity on reports of corruption in Adiala prison.
Similarly, Salman Akram Raja threw the administration to write a “story of cruelty and oppression”. “No member can be forced beyond protest,” he said, adding that the party would turn to courts, but doubted that the rule of law was still existing.
