Islamabad:
PTI legislator Sheikh Waqa’s Acram may be in trouble as a decision on a proposal from PML-N member Nosheen Iftikhar is expected on August 11.
In a previous session, MNA Nosheen had moved a movement that suggested the end of Akram’s membership in which he said his absence for 40 consecutive days justified actions under the Constitution.
In response to the proposal, the National Assembly’s speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq indicated on August 5 that the membership of Akram could be completed. The speaker pointed out that Akram had not attended the assembly for the past 40 days and had not submitted a leave application.
