Islamabad:

The National Assembly’s opposition leader Omar Ayub has sent six names from the opposition page to the speaker Ayaz Sadiq for the formation of a parliamentary committee to select a new Chief Commissioner (CEC) and two members of the Election Commission in Pakistan (ECP).

Ayub shared a letter dated June 2, 2025 on social media, “Nomination of members from the opposition of the parliamentary committee as part of the process of electing the top election commissioner and members Election Commission in Pakistan (Member Balochistan and Members Sindh)”.
