PTI Chief Organizer for Punjab Aaliya Hamza has claimed that the government’s economic indicators are false and that the country is heading for disaster.
The PTI leader outlined the country’s financial situation after the regime shift and highlighted significant increases in benefits and commodity prices. She said the electricity stariff had increased by 212%, the domestic cylinder rate by 43%, gasoline by 70%, diesel with 80%, the gastariff by 1,291%, rice by 95%and total food prices by 187%.
Aaliya said large -scale industrial production has experienced a declining trend. In the financial year 2022, it saw an increase of 11.71 percent; Since then, however, there has been a continuous decline. Prices of significant raw materials have risen sharply. The wheat price has risen by 52 percent, sugar price by 59 percent, beef price by 70 percent, mutton price by 58 percent and chicken price by 64 percent.
The PTI leader said that the prices of other important goods have also risen significantly. The egg has risen by 158 percent, the milk price by 68 percent and the oil price by 20 percent. The price of Dal Mash has risen by 134 percent, Dal Masoor by 39 percent and onions by 175 percent. Similarly, the potato price has risen by 187 percent and tea speed by 111 percent, she pointed out.
Aaliya Hamza claimed that the poverty rate in Pakistan had jumped from 18.4 percent in 2022 to 25.3 percent and pushed 13 million people below the poverty line. She also criticized the government’s economic policies and said the GDP growth rate has been continuously declining since the regime shift. By 2022, the GDP growth rate was 6.18 percent, which fell to 0.92 percent by 2025.
Aaliya announced that PTI would hold a meeting with all MPAs in the Punjab assembly to discuss future plans and strategies. She added that the party would continue to protest against government policy and mobilize the masses.
