Islamabad:
Pakistan Ehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) has formally withdrawn from all Standing Senate Committee and intensified its political liberation from the parliamentary process in protest of what it describes as a “constructed system”.
PTI’s parliamentary leader in the Senate, Barrister Ali Zafar, presented the resignation of parties to Senate Secretariat on Tuesday.
In a speech outside the House of Parliament, Zafar said the move was part of a unanimous party decision. “We have decided to retire from all Senate Committee. Today I have submitted to our senators’ resignation according to our collective decision,” he said.
