Punjab escalates the action against illegal hunting practice

Punjab Wildlife Department recovered four net gears and issued three challenges, which introduced fines to a value of RS55,000 in Chiniot.

The Punjab Wildlife Department has intensified its province’s crash on illegal hunting of wild animals and birds, with several operations leading to arrests, seizures, heavy fines and registration of cases.

According to a spokesman for a department, the campaign is at the forefront of the supervision of Chief Wildlife Ranger Mubeen Elahi.

A FIR was filed in Okara against two people charged with hunting -Vægler illegally. In Multan Confiscated Officers 13 Netting Gear, three suspects arrested and filed a four during the attacks. In Jhang two net gears were taken and two challenges were issued with a fine of RS30,000 imposed in one case.

Similar actions were performed in Vehari, Khanewal and Attock, where several offenders were punished in accordance with the provisions of the Wildlife Act.

In a significant operation against Patridge -creeping, three hunters were also fined RS70,000.

By confirming the department’s commitment, the spokesman stated that the protection teams for wildlife remain active across Punjab and will continue to pursue strict lawsuits against those involved in illegal hunting and catching.
