Punjab is experiencing a significant shift in weather patterns, with the winter season shortening and temperatures rising earlier than normal.

According to the meteorological department, dry weather is continuing across the province, reducing the severity of cold and bringing an early glimpse of spring, especially in Lahore, Express News reported.

In the provincial capital, the minimum temperature recorded was 7 °C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 24 °C.

The current dry spell is likely to continue for the next two to three days with no rain forecast during this period.

Meteorologists have observed that this year’s winter season has been notably short, indicating a possible change in seasonal patterns.

Also, Karachi is experiencing a noticeable drop in temperature after the arrival of cold winds from Balochistan.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the cold spell will continue over the next few days, with temperatures potentially dropping to single digits, Express News reported.

On Thursday morning, Karachi’s minimum temperature was recorded at 10.9°C, marking a drop of 3.6°C compared to the previous day.

The city is under the influence of a westerly weather system, causing frigid winds to sweep across the region.
