The Punjab cabinet has approved the province’s first ever extensive child protection policy.
This policy developed by Child Protection and Welfare Bureau with technical support from UNICEF Pakistan was described as a new benchmark for child welfare that marked a transformative step towards ending violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect against children in the communities.
According to the CPWB chairman, the policy serves as a comprehensive roadmap for child protection mechanisms across Punjab. It is the culmination of efforts that began over two years ago with the submission of the draft of the home department. Case management activities according to the political framework have been underway for over a year.
Chairman of the Cabinet Meeting, which took 101 agenda, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also announced a plan to reduce power riffs to give maximum relief to the people.
This is the second time that a province had folded with electricity stars, which is originally a federal subject. When Punjab was first implemented, the first province to voluntarily reduce electricity starifers.
The main minister approved a reduction in customs for Punjab’s electricity companies. In the direction of chief minister Maryam Nawaz, customs can be reduced by 30 to 40 percent.
The provincial cabinet approved the reduction in customs rates for Quaid-I-Azam and Punjab Thermal Power Private Limited.
To tackle the most important farmers’ complaints to the provinces, the minister said a huge package will be given to the wheat producers.
It was informed at the meeting that payment of RS5,000 per Acre grants are completed to 514,000 wheat farmers.
The payment is made after the verification process for another 500,000 farmers has been completed.
An alllocation of RS63 billion was provided in the second phase through the Kisan map and the farmers have bought fertilizer worth RS18 billion.

Continued with the tradition of the provincial PML-N government by creating layers upon layers of companies and authorities approved the cabinet creation of Air Punjab Private Limited Company.
CM set a goal of launching Air Punjab within a year.
She ordered immediate steps to close vaping centers in the province. She also instructed the authorities to secure safety equipment for workers and assigned the work department a goal to implement Safety SOPS for workers within a month.
The provincial cabinet approved ration cards for workers and miners registered with the work department and the supply of electrical buses in nine divisions of Punjab.
CM issued directives to establish charging stations in all major cities as soon as possible.
Eco-tourism projects were approved for Changa Manga and Lal Sohanra Parks.
