Punjab launches agricultural projects to support farmers with modern facilities

The Green Pakistan initiative has officially been launched in Cholistan for the purpose of transforming agriculture and offering extensive support to farmers.

The launch ceremony participated in the Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Federal Ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain and Musadik Malik.

Key components in the initiative include the opening of a green shopping center and service business, a smart Agri farm and an agricultural survey and facility center.

The Green Agri Mall and Service Company will give farmers access to high quality seeds, fertilizer and pesticides at reduced prices delivered directly to their door steps.

In addition, the initiative will offer affordable rental opportunities for agricultural machinery, including drones.

Meanwhile, a 5,000 -hectare smart farm, equipped with modern irrigation and agricultural techniques, was also launched to promote sustainable agriculture and higher yields at lower costs.

The Agricultural Research Center provides soil testing, laboratory services and serves as a hub for agricultural education and research in Pakistan.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the projects mark the beginning of an agricultural revolution in Punjab, ensuring the growth of farmers and Pakistan’s prosperity. She also distributed soil allocation letters to children of martyrs and wounded veterans.

At his address, army chief Asim Munir said Punjab has become Pakistan’s Agricultural Power Center. He said that Punjabs and its farmers in modern agriculture are commendable.

General Syed Asim Munir appreciated the endeavors and successes made under the Green Business Project of the Punjab in a short time, and described them as encouraging and a progress of progress.

He said the army will continue to fully support the country’s economic development.
