Govt schools in Rawalpindi to receive Rs12m; Attock district Rs63.8m; Jhelum district Rs46.m; Chakwal district 70.5 million

The Secretary of Schools Punjab has released funds totaling Rs 3.271 billion to government schools across the province to meet routine expenses including utility bills, furniture repairs and the salaries of security guards and sweepers.
According to official sources, the allocated funds will be transferred to the government accounts of the respective district education authorities through the District Accounts Offices (DAOs) within two days. Thereafter, the amounts will be disbursed from the accounts of the District Education Officers (DEOs) to the official bank accounts of individual schools.
Under the allocation, public schools in Rawalpindi district will receive Rs12 million; Attock district Rs63.8m; Jhelum district Rs46.m; and Chakwal district 70.5 million.
For Lahore district, Rs 104 million has been earmarked, while Gujranwala district will receive Rs 110.8 million. An allocation of DKK 102.2 million. Rs has been released to public schools in Multan district, while Rs 174.4 million. Rs have been earmarked for Faisalabad district.
The funds released are intended to ensure that public schools operate smoothly by meeting day-to-day operational needs and preventing disruptions to essential services.
The disbursement follows strong protests from public schools over the non-release of the quarterly installment. The school administrations had warned that due to depletion of funds, utility bill payments had been suspended and the salaries of sweepers and security guards remained unpaid.
