Islamabad:
Police arrested dozens of students at Quaid-in-Zam University in an early morning attack at Hostel on the complaint of Varsity’s administration.
The university administration completely vacated hostels number 6, 8, 9 and 11 and arrested about 60 students who have been moved to the secretariat’s police station.
Management of details of the action claimed the administration that the students had been instructed to leave the hostel before July 13 for the maintenance work to be done during the summer holidays.
Note that a large number of students had already left the hostel, got other more deadlines to comply with the directives and eventually were thrown out after the expiry of the final period.
Expansion of the case said the Islamabad police that “legal assistance was provided at the request of the university administration”.
Students who opposed this peaceful process have been moved from the hostel and litigation will be made at the written request of the university administration, police added. Meanwhile, human rights lawyer Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir has claimed that as many as 72 students had been taken into custody from Varsity.
