You can remember the rabbit R1 from last year. It was the handheld, orange, AI device that you interact with using your voice. R1 really failed to have an impact despite having a groundbreaking interactive voice interface because it really didn’t do much as your smartphone couldn’t already do.

Now Rabbit has just released a brand new operating system, The Rabbitos 2, which has a colorful new short-based design and vibe-coding agent AI capacity. So if you are already an R1 owner, you are getting a huge update.
You are still talking to the device to use it, but when you press the button and talk to R1, the flow of the conversation is now visible on the screen. New multimodal functionality is also added to the conversation, so you can use voice, text and images together in the same query.

The new short -based design makes it easier to view and access R1’s features with additional gesture features added to the touch screen. Rabbitos 2 is based on the well -known concept of a tire of playing cards, where each main feature gets its own card in the stack so you can easily browser and access them by pushing the screen or using the roller wheel.
It sounds a bit like turning through a Rolodex, and it solves one of the biggest problems I found when I used the device – that I felt a little lost with only my voice to control it – so I look forward to giving the new operating system a spin.
The second most important feature of the new rabbitos 2 is CreationsAn Agent -AI development that you viper code. You can actually build software tools, games and other experiences on your device through real -time interviews. The creation appears on your device just minutes after you have finished describing it.
You do not need any technical ability to vibe code a new creation. You can make your own or choose between a growing list of existing creations to be installed on your R1 for free.
So while there is no new hardware accompanying the new operating system, Rabbit has said it will offer free global shipping on all new R1 orders until the end of September taken through the Rabbit site.
