A woman’s attempt to board a moving train at Lahore Railway Station ended up almost in disaster, but thanks to the quick actions of a railway police officer, her life was rescued.

According to a spokesman for the railway police, the incident happened when a family tried to board Karakoram Express, Express News reported.

When the woman tried to climb on board, she lost her foot and was about to fall under the train.

CCTV recordings from the stage show Constable Rafaqat Ali, who was on duty on the platform and rushed to the woman’s help. He grabbed her right in time and prevented her from falling under the moving train.

The rapid response of the railway officer and the presence of the mind saved the woman from what could have been a deadly accident. The family who traveled from Lahore to Karachi expressed their gratitude to Constable Rafaqat Ali for his heroic efforts.
