Railways introduce diesel multiple unit trains

Islamabad:

Pakistan Railways has introduced high speed and comfortable diesel multiple unit trains.

In a briefing to the federal minister of railway Hanif Abbasi, the railroad officials told the trains were designed to run at the speed of 160 kilometers per hour.

The trains will lay between Lahore, Lala Musa and Rawal Pindi.

As many as 380 passengers can travel at a time in diesel plus more trains. The project is based on the public-private partnership. The railways will ensure efficient operation and monitoring.
