Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast indicating rainfall over several cities starting from February 18.
The weather system is expected to bring much needed rain after a prolonged dry spell, Express News reported.
According to the department, Monday, February 17, remains largely dry with a humidity level between 31 and 35 percent.
In Islamabad, the air pollution index is registered at 152, indicating a level of air quality that is moderate.
The prognosis predicts that a weather system will enter Pakistan on February 18, which brings rain to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal and several cities in interior Punjab.
These areas are expected to receive rainfall between 18 and 20 February.
Furthermore, the pollen number in Islamabad and Rawalpindi is expected to remain high, with an increase in pollen levels expected during this period. The meteorological department has advised residents to be prepared for potential weather changes and take the necessary precautions.
This rainy system comes as a relief after weeks of dry conditions, which helps improve air quality and facilitate the effect of the dry spell.
Yesterday, PMD weathered the weather mostly cloudy in Lahore and the surrounding areas with periods of sun and cloud cover. It said there is a 10% chance of rain in the city.
However, PMD has stated that there are no significant chances of rainfall in most parts of the province, and dry weather is expected to prevail.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature has been detected at 10 ° C with a maximum expected temperature of 25 ° C.
