Last week, the powerful storm system triggered more weather -related incidents throughout the province. Deaths were reported in several districts, including Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Sheikhupura, Nankana SaHib and Sialkot, PDMA confirmed.

Most losses occurred due to the collapse of fallen buildings or people present in uncertain places during the storm, the agency said. Several mud bricks and poorly constructed homes inflicted significant damage.

Meanwhile, the ongoing heat wave continues to affect large parts of Pakistan, with Sindh facing some of the most extreme temperatures this week.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted burning and dry conditions throughout the province for at least the next two days. Temperatures are expected to reach the top at 46 ° C in cities such as mithi and badin, while Jacobabad and Dhalbandin can reach up to 45 ° C.

Elsewhere in the country, the heat wave also takes a toll, especially across Punjab and Balochistan’s plains.

Afternoon dust storms and strong winds probably affect parts of Sindh and Balochistan, especially in Jacobabad, Shikarpur and Dadu.
