The meteorological department (PMD) has issued a weather alarm for several regions in the country that predicts thunderstorms, rainfall and snowfall in different areas in the coming days.

According to the forecast, the top Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Murree and Galyat are likely to experience intermittent rain and snowfall along with strong wind and thunderstorms. Snowfall is expected at mountain peaks with the possibility of heavy rainfall in some areas.

Southern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan, central Punjab and parts of the northeast Punjab can also see rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds. Some areas could even experience hailstorms. Elsewhere in the country, partially cloudy weather is expected.

In Islamabad and the surrounding areas, intermittent heavy rain, thunderstorms and hailstorms are expected. The region can also witness a significant snowfall in mountainous areas.

KP is expected to see rain and snowfall in areas such as DIR, Chitral, Kohistan, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra, Buner, Abbottabad, Swabi, Marran, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, Nowshera, Peshawar, Charsadda and Nearby, Region. Thunderstorms are also likely, with some places that get heavy rain and intense snowfall.

Other areas including Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Waziristan, Laki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan are expected to experience strong wind, thunderstorms and rain on the possibility of hail.

Thunderstorms and rain are expected in cities such as Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Gujrat, Chakwal, Mianwali, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Lahore, Okara, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Narpural, Noorpural, Noorpural, Noorpural. , and the surrounding areas. Hills may occur in some places.

Murree, galyat and nearby areas are expected to see intermittent rain and snowfall with the potential of strong wind and intense weather. Other districts in the province may experience light rain or drip.

Sindh is likely to experience dry weather with partially cloudy sky, though the top districts may see light rain or drip in isolated areas.

In Balochistan, cold weather will continue, with most areas that are partly cloudy. Thunderstorms, rainfall and snowfall on mountain peaks are expected in districts such as Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Kalat, Zhob, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Musa Khel and Surrounding Areas.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will see intermittent rainfall, thunderstorms and snowfalls, with some regions experiencing heavy rain and intense snowfall.
