The Prime Minister’s help to political and public affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has rejected speculation about “running back door conversations” involving Pakistan Tehreek-In-Insaf (PTI) and the establishment. He confirmed that no dialogue would take place with the former reigning party through unofficial channels.
Earlier in the day, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan maintained that PTI was not engaged in dialogue with any other devices. In a speech with a local TV news channel on Tuesday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader PTI criticized the fourth round with formal conversations.
“Political questions can only be resolved through the official dialogue table as they [PTI] Left today, “Sanaullah said.
PTI Boikoted the fourth session scheduled for Tuesday, citing the government’s failure to establish legal commissions to investigate May 9, 2023, riots and November 26, 2024, Islamabad protest crash.
The PML-N leader criticized PTI’s political approach in the last decade and accused the party of damaging the country’s political landscape. He also said that PTI missed the chance to receive the government’s response by skipping the negotiations.
With reference to PTI’s requirement for a judicial commission, he noted, “no judge would wish to join such a commission in view of the current circumstances.”
In response to PTI’s warnings about street protests, Sanaullah emphasized that any demonstrations would be met with litigation. “In a democratic system, questions are resolved at the negotiating table, not on the streets,” he said.
