Randall Park had a bad experience with social media, but is still reminiscent of a positive aspect of the online community.
Park completed social media after suffering a panic attacks during the pandemic.
“I was on social media for a while, and then under the pandemic it was such a scary time,” The dwelling Actor, 51, told People.
“There was also a choice during that time. It was just so much chaos and negativity right in the air, but also specifically online, a lot of confusion and vitriol.”
Then “suddenly” he began to have panic attacks.
He shared, “I had never had panic attacks before, but I just kept getting them one after the other. It was a lot about me.”
The actor got help and then decided to “just get off on social media because I felt, ‘oh, I don’t think it helps me help with my perspective on the world and my righteous mental health.'”
Originally, Park decided to take only a few months from social media, but he realized that time away from it was so “great” that he remained for good.
However, he misses an aspect of being on social platforms.
“The one thing I really miss is just connecting with people from other chapters of my life. It was a really fun aspect of social media.”
“Whether it sees their lives on their feed and kept up to date on their lives, or just random old friends who diminished me from primary school,” Randall Park explained. “It was one of the victims I had to give to get off because I really loved that aspect of it.”
