– No official trailer released
Saddle up because Ransom Canyon Season 2 is officially on the way.
Based on the book series of Jodi Thomas, Ransom Canyon Following the life of three ranching dynasties when they protect the people they have most dear to them from the people who want to take them down. Throw in small town of drama, loss and romance and you have yourself an incredibly bingeable show.
In contravention of becoming one of the best Netflix shows on the streaming platform, Western Series encourages viewers to fall for a small piece of Texas. And when love, land and inheritance unfolded in the first ten episodes, it is not surprising that the show has not been done yet, especially after such an open final.
Here’s all we know about Ransom Canyon Season 2 from prediction of the release date, predicted role crew, plot speculation, rumors and more.
Ransom Canyon Season 2: Is there a release date?
There is no Ransom Canyon Season 2 release date, but at least we know it’s on the way. In a post of Tudum in June, it was declared that April Blair’s modern Western had officially been renewed.
And the news was further confirmed by an Instagram post (shown above) from Josh Duhamel and said “Yee-Haw!”
We also know, thanks to what’s on Netflix, that there are plans to start filming in the middle of late September with a four-month shoot ending around January.
With this in mind I would predict Ransom Canyon Season 2 release date to be late 2026/early 2027.
Ransom Canyon Season 2: Has a trailer been released?
With Ransom Canyon Season 2 is not yet in production, it seems unlikely that we will soon have a trailer to share with you.
Season 1 trailer came less than a month before the show fell on Netflix, so I can imagine that we will not receive a trailer until at least late 2026. But I will be sure to drop this when it lands.

Aside from the state and quinn already confirmed to return, I would predict the following Ransom Canyon Season 2 Role Authority To Be Back Also:

- Minka kelly as quinn o’grady
- Eoin Macken as Davis Collins
- Lizzy Greene as Lauren Brigman
- Garrett appears like Lucas Russell

- Jaren K Robledo as Jack Yellowbird
- Casey W Johnson as Kit Russell

There is a character that does not return to Ransom Canyon Season 2, and it is Cap Fuller (James Brolin) who died in the season finals.
And although we do not have confirmation of the other protagonists who returned, Cap was the only death of season 1. So I would hope the rest will.
Lucas (Garrett Wareing) also published a festive message on Instagram to mark the show’s season 2 renewal and said, “Ransom Canyon Is the biggest thing I have got the lucky chance of experiencing in this life and getting back to my favorite place with some of my favorite people now means so much more. “
And then it seems that he will be back with everyone else.
Ransom Canyon Season 2: Story Synopsis and Rumors

Full spoilers to Ransom Canyon Season 1.
As an excellent choice for fans of Yellowstone and Virgin RiverAt Ransom Canyon Carved themselves as the middle ground between the two that combine hard ranch protection, family dynasties, grief and a “will they, right?” Love story.
And when the small town of drama crescendoed to an epic conclusion, there were plenty of unanswered questions. Which, if you have read the books, you may already know the answers. But we’re not trying to spoil it for anyone.
The greatest romance of Ransom Canyon is between its two titular characters, Quinn and the State. And after the loss of his wife, Amala and son, Randall, the state was no place to move on when Season 1 started.
Especially considering the mystery of Randall’s death, which in the Season 1 final ended in Sheriff Brigman’s alienated wife, Margaret’s arrest. A really small town secret.
But the state and Quinn find a way, after years not. And despite Davis’ best efforts to get in at the last minute, all it seemed to take was a tornado for the couple to realize it was time to admit their true feelings.
However, the season 1 final quickly gave the pair their first challenge as a couple – Quinn moved to New York. After getting a position as a pianist in New York Philharmonic Orchestra, Quinn Ellie gave the role of keeping her dance hall alive while planning to go to Big Apple to pay her debt. But will she really go? And what does it mean for ‘Squinn’ in Season 2.

The State and Quinn’s tale is not the only romance that blooms in Ransom Canyon though. There is Lauren, Reid and Lucas’ love triangle and surprising friendship that ultimately left Reid, who urged Lucas to pursue Lauren despite his own feelings.
Plus, Yancy and Ellie’s immediate connection were almost turned off by the deal he entered into with Davis to get trialness from prison. To plan if he was to persuade Cap Fuller, who was just his grandfather, to sell his ranch. But the beauty of Ransom Canyon and of Ellie sees Yancy pursue another way.
And that path became even clearer when Cap died from a heart attack and left the whole ranch to Yancy, who subsequently decided not to sell it and instead asked Ellie to marry him. And it all seemed tied with a lovely bow until a woman arrived and claimed to be his wife already.
So for the residents of Ransom Canyon, there is much more romance to explore and secrets left to loosen. Especially considering Davis and the State’s father Sam have not given up on their pipeline agreement to take over the ranches yet … Much more planning for season 2 then.
Will there be more seasons of Ransom Canyon?

When it comes to Ransom Canyon Returning to several seasons, there is no official news yet. But considering Jodi Thomas’ book series has nine books in it, there are plenty of material mature and ready to transform into new episodes into this Netflix hit.
With Season 2’s renewal in June, however, I suppose there will be no news of a season 3 until later on the line. It took a few months after the season 1 final to get renewal of Season 2, so I can imagine that it is only at the end of 2026/early 2027 for more news.
