Los Angeles Charger’s offensive line has been given a significant blow. All-Pro Left Tackle Rashawn Slater will be sidelined throughout the 2025 season with a broken patellar late, the team confirmed.
Slater left Thursday’s practice on the back of a medical wagon. He was noticeably destroyed during his trip back inside the team’s complex, threw the fist on the wagon and threw his helmet.
The 26-year-old is expected to undergo an operation to repair the cracked late. Laders moved slats to the wounded reserve.

Less than two weeks ago, Slater squeezed a record -breaking contract extension that was taking him into chargers in the foreseeable future. The deal made Slater the NFL’s highest paid offensive lineman in average annual salary.
The deal was valued at $ 113 million and includes $ 92 million in warranties, ESPN reported.

“It’s just something you don’t want to see,” Chargers outside Linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu said. “Not only rashawn, but any of our players.”
Laders strengthened their offensive line in each of the last two offseasons. The team worked out Joe everything in the first round of 2024 and signed the Guard Mekhi Becton in March. Second -year chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh recently said he was “Bullish” about the offensive line on the way into the 2025 season.

Becton has been sidelined since July 28 with an unspecified injury. Everything could move to the left tackle when charging offensive line prepares for a major switch.
Last season-with Slater’s presence-beging Chargers violation only eight revenue, a franchise record low. Chargers tied to the second-five offensive revenue in a single season in NFL History.
