Kansas City Chief’s wide recipient Rashee Rice has officially been suspended six matches for violating NFL’s personal behavioral policy.

The suspension stems from his two -third -degree crimes from a March 2024 criminal criminal on a Dallas Highway. Rice was indicted for collision involving severe bodily harm and racing on a highway that causes bodily harm which he pleaded guilty last month.

Rice is ready to miss the team’s first six games of the year, starting with their seasonal kickoff in Brazil against Los Angeles Chargers.

Rice is not expected to appeal his suspension, which comes from the league after his own investigation of his criminal charges. As part of RICE’s plea for an agreement, he received five-year postponed probation and 30 days in prison as a condition of probation.

Rice’s imprisonment is said to be flexible according to Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.

There was an arbitration hearing scheduled for September 30 at the league’s headquarters in New York in front of federal judge Sue L. Robinson to discuss the suspension. This date would have allowed Rice to play the first few weeks of Chiefs’ season, but this suspension is currently negating it.

Rice will not only miss Chiefs’ AFC West Matchup abroad, but also week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl Lix -Rematch that will act as Kansas City’s home opener.

Chiefs will also be without rice against New York Giants (week 3), Baltimore Ravens (week 4), Jacksonville Jaguars (Week 5) and Detroit Lions (week 6).

Rice is eligible to return to Chiefs’ sideline in week 7 when faced with Las Vegas Raiders on October 19.

The 25-year-old recipient said in a statement issued by his lawyer that he has had “a lot of sleepless nights thinking about the injuries my actions caused and I will continue to work within my means to ensure that everyone affected will be done whole.”

He also had a short availability during Chiefs Training Camp, where he was allowed to practice going into the year.

“I’ve changed completely,” he told journalists. “You have to learn from such things. All I can focus on is what I can control right now, and it’s me who does what I do.”

Rice was the driver of a Lamborghini Urus that went 119 km / h on the northern central Expressway in Dallas as he made “several aggressive maneuvers around traffic” before crashing into other vehicles, according to prosecutors. Rice did not control the vehicles involved in the crash and decided to escape from the stage on foot.

Rice is also required to pay the victims for their medical expenses outside the pocket, which amounted to about $ 115,000, as part of his plea for agreement.

The SMU -Product had a breakout -rookie campaign in 2023, which helped Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs collect another Super Bowl trophy, this time against San Francisco 49ers.

But Rice was unable to play a whole season in 2024 and suffered from an LCL tower after Mahomes fell in him and tried to get a tackle after a listening of chargers in week 4.
