Rawalpindi:
At the forefront of Eidul Fitr, all 45 recreational locations throughout the city undergo extensive renovations to improve the festive experience.
New amusement trips, including battery -powered cars, evasive cars and computer games, are introduced to children.
In Ayub National Park, modern boats are added to the three lakes for visitors to enjoy boating.
Joyland installs European style amusement trips, while a variety of animal-inclusive pet birds, predators such as wolves, lions, cheetahs and bears, as well as elephants, ostriches, deer and monkey-will be exhibited to catch children.
New species of aquatic birds have also been introduced to the lakes.
In Patriata, the popular chair lift has been upgraded and will be operational for Eid.
Access to all parks remains free, but rides and other attractions will have ticket access, with prices rising this year due to inflation. Parking fees for cars and motorcycles are also raised.
To ensure security, CCTV cameras are installed in all recreational places that must be fully functional one day before Eid. Additional security guards have been implemented and security protocols have been upgraded.
During the first three days of Eid, Parker remains open from 1 p.m. 9 to 7 p.m.
Food stalls, including both ordinary and additional suppliers, will be created across parks.
Larger parks will also offer camel and horse trips as well as pony and wagon trips.
Modern decorative lighting is installed across parks and flower arrangements have been used to improve the festive atmosphere.
Family -friendly attractions, including small monuments, have been introduced to visitors’ enjoyment.
According to Parks & Horticulture Authority -Head of General Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, the renovation and decoration of all parks will be completed by March 30.
Security schemes will be enforced strictly, especially in larger parks such as Children’s Park, Ladies Park, Ayub Park, Allama Iqbal Park, Shehbaz Sharif Park, Patriata Park and Jinnah Park.
