- Netflix’s new look now rolls out to Apple TV 4K
- It’s signed mixed reactions since debut in May
- In addition to the new user experience there are new sounds that cannot be disabled yet
Netflix is one of the best streaming services around, and its brand new look, which the streamer called a “giant jump forward”, now arrives at one of the most popular streaming box -ecosystems, Apple TV.
As discovered by some users on Reddit and within Apple’s Tvos App Store, the new look is a redesign of the website and adds sounds and officially land on Apple TV and Apple TV 4K streaming boxes after debut on other platforms.
This is probably a situation with ‘loving it or hate it’ or ready or not. Subscribers have been vocal about their discomfort for redesigned, especially the change to the home screen that many have become accustomed to – a classic rolling through rows – for no clear reason. Netflix defended the new look in June 2025, and it seems that the UI Redesign is still rolling out as planned.
Netflix new UI on Apple TV from R/AppletV
Netflix’s new look starts with a head, rectangular top beam that rotates between content-potentially new seasons that soon arrive or top choice-but still has rows below, mainly the very important ‘continue to see’ function.
Like other streaming services, Amazon Prime Video included, there is a top beam centered with search, home, shows, movies, genres and my Netflix – the latter is where you find your list, keep watching and other choices that Netflix thinks will dick your interests.
Given that this is the arrival of the new Netflix look on Apple TV after it has arrived on other streaming boxes such as Roku and Smart TVS, this does not represent the arrival of anything new, just for Apple’s TVOS platforms. Netflix remains obliged not to support or integrate itself as a channel within the Apple TV app, despite many wishes, including myself, for its arrival. You may remember that there was a short period in which Netflix activated this functionality in February 2025, but it was short -lived … very short -lived.
However, people are quick to speak statements from the new Netflix look arriving at Apple TV, with many sharing early opinions about R/AppletV Surreddit. A complaint that has come up several times is about the sounds that Netflix has enabled for scrolling and even clicking on different content.
It seems that the beeps can be repeated and there is apparently no way to turn off them. It happens even if you turn off menu sounds in tvos settings, as Netflix is apparently overriding it and is not bound by this.
Others have simply called the refreshed user interface “terrible” or “gross”, and others are hoping for a slow rollout. There is also a good amount of sarcasm used here, and while Netflix says that many subscribers are quiet about how much they like it, it seems that the most vocals are still happy with the fresh look.
One way to make subscribers looking at Apple TV 4K a little happier would be to integrate with the Apple TV app, but I don’t think Netflix will take the hint.
