Suits La has been canceled after only one season and one director has explained why they did not renew the show in another season.
When the original show Suits Was made available on Netflix, the show saw a quick resurgence and got so high viewership numbers that the creators thought a spin-off would be welcomed by fans. However, Spin-off’s first season got only 2.35 million viewers, much less than the original and a 39% score on the rat Tomatoes.
Suits La Centered around New York Prosecutor Ted Black, which now led a company that specializes in criminal and entertainment law. The show contained Komos from Patton Oswalt, Brian Baumgartner and Enrico Colantoni as well as the original role crew member Gabriel Macht.
When asked why the cancellation was, NBCuniversal’s President of Program Planning Strategy Jeff Bader noted that “It’s so hard to talk about shows and which we bring back.”
According to the deadline, he elaborated: “Suits: LA had a very short race, but it really doesn’t have a reverberation [with audiences in] The way we thought it would. “
“There may be many, many reasons why it doesn’t resonate, but it just doesn’t show the potential to grow to us in the future, unfortunately. These are the decisions we had to make,” he noted.
“And we had to make some tough decisions,” he added about Suits La.
