Red River-Rivalization Heated with Slutzone-Skirmish before Oklahoma-Texas Showdown

The rivalry between Oklahoma Soners and Texas Longhorns seems to be alive and good.

Texas entered this year’s Red River rivaling on the heels of a disturbed loss for Florida Gators. Meanwhile, the sixth ranked soon in Saturday with an unnoticed record.

Despite already having two losses, Texas still seemed to understand what was at stake in the Cotton Bowl. The intensity became even more visible when players from both Oklahoma and Texas met in the final zone and a skirmish emerged.

Meanwhile, the once much proclaimed Prospect Arch Manning has largely failed to live up to expectations in its first season as Texas’ full -time starter.

Manning completed Longhorns’ seasonal opening loss to Ohio State with 170 passing yards. He went in Saturday with 1,151 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Texas went into 2025 Red River rivaling with a 64-41-5 All-Time series lead. But they have soon won seven of the last 10 matchups.

Oklahoma led 6-3 at the break on Saturday.
