Boston Red Sox has locked someone, they hope to be a franchise corner.
Kristian Campbell, one of their best views that made the Big League club out of the spring training, has signed an extension that could keep him with the club for the next 10 seasons.
The two sides agreed on an eight-year extension worth $ 60 million, ESPN reported. The team said the agreement will come with club opportunities for both 2033 and 2034 seasons.

When Campbell was called to opening day, he was under team control through 2030 – he would do the league minimum for his first three seasons before arbitration kicks in.
Instead, Sox and Campbell have decided to waive all this and be locked for at least the next eight years.
Campbell has made a fantastic first impression in the early one to go. The 22-year-old infielder is 6-for-16 (.375) with a home drive. He played on all three levels of smaller league ball last season and rocked everywhere he went. He hasn’t even played a home game at Fenway Park, but it’s coming on Friday.

Understandably, Campbell is the sixth-ranked view in the sport-all together while another sox valued phenomenon in outfielder novel Anthony ranks number two behind Roki Sasaki. Marcelo Mayer, a shortstop, is 11 .. Anthony and Mayer are currently sitting in Triple-A.
Campbell was not so much proclaimed when he became a draft of Georgia Tech in 2023 when he was not drafted until the fourth round. But beating .330 with a .997 ops in your first full season of minor will bring you up faster than expected.

The last Red Sox player who won this year’s Rookie was Dustin Pedroia in 2007 – he won MVP the following season. Nomar Garciaparra, Fred Lynn and Carlton Fisk also served the award with Boston, where Lynn also won MVP in the same season from 1975.
